Me Lorraine Talbot holds a law degree from the Université de Montréal and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1982.
She has practiced law in Terrebonne since 1983, and in her early years, she worked in several areas of practice, eventually developing over the years a practice focused primarily on two areas: family and personal law, and construction law.
As a family law practitioner, in addition to representing clients and litigating before the courts in disputes arising from separation or disagreements between couples, she has also handled adoption cases, youth protection matters, protection of incapacitated persons, and estate litigation. She became an accredited family mediator in 2002.
Throughout her years of practice, Me Talbot has been an engaged and involved member of the Terrebonne community, serving on several boards of directors of community and charitable organizations. She also served on the Board of Directors of the CLDEM until its integration into the MRC Les Moulins.
Eager to share her experience, she has collaborated since 2010 with Les Éditions Yvon Blais in writing texts and commentaries for the legal community, and is notably co-author of a book published by Les Éditions Yvon Blais entitled “La responsabilité de l’inspecteur préachat.”
Following the publication of this work, she has been called upon to give lectures on this subject as well as training sessions accredited by the Barreau du Québec. She has also collaborated as a speaker with the Université du troisième âge under the auspices of the Université de Sherbrooke.
Since March 2022, Me Talbot has served as counsel for Juriseo Avocats.
